Sonic invaders is an audio arcade game. It is played and navigated entirely in audio, the screen does not need to be looked at at any point. Player control is through keyboard only. This makes it ideal for blind or sight impaired persons, as well as gamers looking for somehting different. Headphones should be used because the gameplay is heavily based on the positioning of the sounds in the stereo field. It is extremely difficult to play with speakers, unless they are properly aligned, and, even then, not recommended. The game features many expertly crafted levels that take the player from easy to extremely difficult situations (check out level 40!). A lot of work has gone into gameplay and pacing to make it a gripping and exciting experience. There are full audio instructions, plus a tutorial-practice session to get the player going. There is also a highscore table that saves the 5 best scores with dates.

Το sonic invaders ειναι ένα ηχητικό arcade παιχνίδι. Παίζεται μόνο με ήχο, η οθόνη στην ουσιά δεν χρειάζεται (ουτε χρησιμοποιείται) κατα την διάρκεια του παιχνιδιού αλλά ούτε και κατα την διάρκεια του setup. Ο παίκτης παίζει χρησιμοποιόντας το πληκτρολόγιο. Τα παραπάνω κάνουν το παιχνίδι ιδανικό για παίκτες με προβλήματα όρασης, αλλά και για παίκτες που ψαχνουν κάτι διαφορετικό. Ο παίκτης πρέπει να φοράει ακουστικά, γιατί το παιχνίδι βασίζεται πολύ στην τοποθέτηση των ήχων στην στερεοσκοπική ηχητική εικόνα. Είναι εξαιρετικά δύσκολο να παίξει κανείς χωρίς ακουστικά, και δεν συνηστάται.

sonic invaders is now freeware! you can just download it and play, in english or greek (there is only one package).
please note, this does not mean it is copyright-free. you have to read and agree to the license in the package.
The game utilises directX technology and should run fine on a properly setup computer with the latest version of directX 9c installed.
A modern setup is recommended (P4, 512mb ram), or there may be slowdown in gameplay.
